Host a block party to help keep our neighborhoods safe

What is National Night Out?

National Night Out is a nationwide annual event designed to raise crime prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and unity, and foster community-police partnerships. City of Hughson residents are encouraged to join with their neighbors and have a neighborhood block party, ice cream social or other outdoor event to build neighborhood spirit and unity – which is the first defense against crime. Research shows that when neighbors know each other and look out for each other crime goes down.

If you are interested in having a block party or have questions, please contact Deputy Dennis Wallace at the Hughson Police Services at 883-4052 or Susan Rosenquist at the Hughson Family Resource Center at 883-2125.
